Hey there, I'm Orion! I'm an active Pitbull mix who loves to be with my people! We are guessing I am about 3 years old and I weigh a muscly 63 pounds. Visitors sometimes ask about which dogs have been here the longest. I'm definitely on the short list of long timers here. I am currently taking a break in a foster home and readjusting to life outside of a shelter. I am working on my manners, confidence and having lots of playtime!
I can be nervous with strange men so will need a home that will offer me patience and support in new situations. I respond incredibly well to positive reinforcement and affection! I am terrier-smart, potty trained, angelic on a leash, have great recall and am very eager to please my people. I know "sit" "down" "stay" "leave it" & "come" and I'll do whatever you ask even without a treat.
I will bond very close to my family and would prefer if I don't have to be alone too much. I would prefer to go to a home with kids over the age of 8 please. And no kitties for me please.
I am still learning about other dogs and would prefer to be the only dog in my new home. I am showing a lot of potential that I might be able to have some other k9 friends in the future.
I am a very athletic dog and can walk/hike for miles if you'd like. I am strong and fast but don't let that fool you, I am an expert sleeper. I currently spend my days with my foster mom at work and don't mind napping for hours and hours and hours! Yawn..... Who'd wants napping buddy?
My fur is soft like a bunny and my whole body wiggles when I am happy to see you but I've got some food allergies. No big deal really, but my forever home will prioritize the right diet for me so my ears, feet and skin can be at their best. I am currently on a prescription, hypoallergenic diet and am doing great! My new family will need to slowly introduce new ingredients and learn what I am allergic to for maximum bunny softness and wiggly body.
Oh boy, I am SO EXCITED FOR MY FOREVER HOME!! Follow me on instagram @adoptorion or better yet, contact my foster parents at kittylovingfool@gmail.com to learn more about me and set up a time for us to meet!

"I have been walking, and loving on, Orion for months. He is a little aloof when he first meets you but trust issues are common in dogs that have been abandoned and abused. He is so loving and calm. I hope someone gives him the chance he deserves. I love this boy!"  Mcas volunteer

perhaps not too thrilled being a berryboy
