Hi there! My name is Hawthorne and I am a handsome baby boy Syrian Hamster. Syrian hamsters are solitary, territorial animals who need their own space in which to live. I'm fairly independent and can entertain myself for extended periods of time, if you provide me with proper toys, bedding, and opportunities for burrowing and climbing. The average lifespan for a hamster is 2.5 to 3 years, with slight variations among species. I will get about 3 times this size when I am fully grown. Did I mention that I am nocturnal? This means I will be most active at night! To remain happy and well-adjusted, I need daily handling and interaction but, I can be startled easily (don't grab me when I'm napping) so I need to be handled gently and only with adult supervision by children under 8 years old. Please thoroughly clean my cage every week! Adopt fee is $5.00 and does not include cage. I'd like to have a say my new cage so bring a picture & come see me today!!
