Gilbert is a silver dapple neutered dachshund. He is approximately 5 years old and at about 17lbs is on the chunky side. Dachshunds have master degrees in begging, but being overweight is not good for their backs. Because Gilbert is not showing his true personality, the shelter recommends a quiet home with patient people who will give him the time he needs to adjust. If there are kids in the household they should be at least 10 & up. If you love the breed and speak doxie, come check out Gilbert.
