Hello my shelter name is Lars, pleased to meet you. My friends here at the shelter assure me I will find my forever home very soon but it is hard to be patient. To help you make a decision for me I suggest doing a little research about my breed. Lets just be frank and tell you we are not known to be good with young children. Or small creatures for that matter, we were bred for hunting after all. We follow our noses and that has gotten us into trouble in the past .

Our fine points are our loyalty and affectionate ways. We adore sleeping on the bed with you and even cuddling under the covers! Once you are ours we will stand by you forever. So…. If you are ready to take me into your family knowing all that is common with Dachshunds please ask about me. I am a red male Dachshund purebred around 6 years old and weigh about 12 lbs.

 

Lars would love a home where he gets daily walks, play toys,  and good care!
