I'm Drogo, a 4-year-old German Shepherd eager to find my forever home. With my boundless energy and love for training, I'm ready to be your loyal companion and work alongside you in any adventure. I thrive on mental and physical stimulation, so I'll be happiest in a home where I can engage in activities that challenge and stimulate my intelligent mind. Whether it's obedience training, agility courses, or going for long runs, I'm up for any challenge! While I've lived with another dog before, I will need proper introductions to other pets. Additionally, I can be protective over my food, so I should go to a home with kids over 8 who understand boundaries and respect. If you're seeking a furry friend who's as energetic and loyal as they come, let's meet and start our journey of adventures and companionship together!

"BRATWURST" gentle loving rottie - needs comfort and reassurance

UPDATE 4/7/24 ADOPTED or on hold

Very sweet boy and the volunteers love him. Bratworst is easy to walk on a leash at the shelter and can Heel by your side! But since he is a big strong dog, it is important to pay attention to your hold on  the leash, in case he did suddenly decide to pull hard

Hey There, I'm Bratwurst!  I know I look like a big guy at 95lbs, but deep down, I'm just a gentle giant searching for love and security. The shelter environment can be a bit overwhelming for me, so I may seem nervous and unsure at first. But once I warm up to my people, you'll see a whole new side of me! I really value trust and once I build that bond with you, I'm all in. I'm the kind of dog who really relies on my humans for comfort and reassurance. With the right approach and a little patience, I'll become your most loyal and devoted companion. As for other dogs, I'm willing to give them a chance, but I'll need proper introductions to feel comfortable. Calm dogs might just be my cup of tea! If you're looking for a big-hearted friend who's ready to give you all the love and trust in the world, I might be your guy!

While Kazoo is full of love and affection, it's important to note that she can be selective about her furry friends. Kazoo can be a bit jumpy and mouthy, but with patience and positive reinforcement training, she's making great strides. A family willing to continue her training and provide plenty of mental and physical stimulation would be ideal for her. This playful pup is already potty trained and understands basic commands. "ELVIS" I ain't nothing but a HOUND dog! affectionate

UPDATE 4/5/24 ADOPTED by a previous owner

ELVIS has been quiet in his kennel

Crate trained, potty trained INDOOR DOG,  NEEDS safe place when outdoors where he can run and play

Like many hound dogs, Elvis is  more attentive to you inside the house rather than out on a walk with all those new smells!

Elvis knows sit, down and shake and enjoys a good game of fetch and will be a great dog for someone willing to give him the time and attention needed in order to form a strong bond.  He needs some outdoor fenced area to be able to stretch out, zoom around and play fetch

Date found: Friday, October 27, 2023
Location found: NW 20th/ NW thurman

NO Cats

I ain't nothin' but a hound dog! My name is Elvis and I'm ready for a new home. Like any self-respecting hound, I do like to follow my nose when we are out and about - maybe together we can sniff out some buried treasure! I know some commands and when I'm not using my nose, I like to focus on my people and make sure they feel loved. I haven't shown a lot of interest in other dogs thus far, and due to some sensitivity around my ears (I had an untreated ear infection until recently), I may do best in an adult home - but let's talk about that if you are interested and have children. I need a home without cats. So the question is - are you lonesome tonight? If so, take me home and love me tender!

"LOU" aka "LOTUS" sensitive Husky HAPPY ADOPTION UPDATE!

HAPPY ADOPTION UPDATE!

"LOU"  (aka "Lotus")  March 29. 2024

Lou has been an amazing new member of our little family, and we couldn't love him more! His resource guarding is pretty much gone now. He gets to go to the dog park almost every day, gets to go on lots of walks every day, and lots of pets from his new parents. He's very friendly with other people and all types of other dogs now. He's even picked up fetch! As long as the ball is squeaky. He also has lots of blankets around the house and the vehicle for when he's needs to suckle and calm himself down when he gets anxious. He's got such a great personality! We are so happy and grateful for finding him. He's the best thing that's ever happened to us.  Victoria

I am new to the shelter and not much is known about my past. Dogs like me become very bonded to our people and places, and always need a little time to adjust to change. When I begin to feel at home, I should be affectionate and playful. I enjoy treats and long walks and seem to be tolerant of other dogs as long as they give me my personal space. If you are looking for a sensitive guy like me, come to the shelter and lets get acquainted!
