Hello there, I'm Darling, and just like my name suggests, I'm a lovely girl! I have some skin issues currently, but the health team here is making sure I am just fine. I was a very good girl for my initial exam here, and am ready for a calm, stable home to shower me with love and TREATS! I love any form of cheese (did someone say charcuterie?), and will sit and shake for it! They don't know much about me just yet, but I'm already winning the shelter staff over with my sweet temperament. Please escort me home for pampering!

My name is Agate. I am an affectionate female dog who wins every contest for "best smile." Just being with me is a feel-good vibe in and of itself. I will, however, need to be the only pet in your home, as I want all of the attention to myself. I am an affectionate female dog who knows lots of tricks, including sit, shake, and down. Even though my "down" is more of a "roll onto my back for a belly rub" kind of trick for you. I'm a little older, but I have plenty of play energy without being overwhelming. I am looking for a home that can combine couch time with fun outdoor experiences such as walks and hikes. Please come and meet me today!

thanks Denise for pics and video!

I'm pretty scared here, but my finder had lots of nice things to say about me. They said I was good with the small and large dog met and men, women, teens and kids too. The shelter is recommending cautious introductions to any new doggie friends to make sure we're a good match. My new home must be cat free.Like most German Shepherds, I would prefer a home where someone is around most of the time, because I'd rather be with my people than left alone. If you are looking for a loyal companion please come and meet me and see if we can have a happy ending together.

"BRAN" IN FOSTER -playful med size Lab mix - really likes dogs

 UPDATE 5/30/23 Adopted

Bran really likes dogs, and they like him too.  He's excited when first in a new home (like most dogs) and will need a cool person to allow him to settle down/feel comfortable (ps- basic info for ANY rehomed dog!)

Bran is affectionate, smart, and listens well. He already knows sit, lie down, Out of the kitchen, go lie down....He responds well to a whistle when in the yard. On leash, it is harder to get his attention but he's learning that saying his name, turning towards me, gets him a treat

He seems much younger than 5 yrs old -  the age guesstimate  the shelter made. Mystery mix, maybe some Viszla? or hound, and lab?  He's a very easy medium size, lean build, with very shiny curly on his back, black fur with white highlights. Did great being bathed, is crate trained. Allowed front nail trim and teeth cleaning on only the 3rd day in foster and  have seen no aggression in him towards handling (please don't be stupid about it though, always let the dog's body language tell you if it is ok to proceed with handling like this) He is  house-trained  already, but he did mark a few times inside the house in the first day or two - NOT unusual for a dog in a new place, esp where other dogs have been (and accidents previously) Be watchful and be patient and clean, spay any area with an enzyme cleaner like "Anti- Icky Poo" to remove any scent to avoid further marking accidents)  Bran may prefer someone who was not gone for a long day - he is currently crated when foster leaves the home for a few hours, but am unsure how he would be left loose when alone without another dog with im but new home could work up to that. He would love a compatible dog in his new home. (living with 3 dogs in his foster  home)

Hi, My name is Buddy. I'm a German Shepherd mix and still have a lot of puppy energy. I love enrichment activities. I'll talk about that a little later. I love to get pets, ALL the pets. I look for people to pet me on my walk, and while my foster person is working. My favorite is when my foster person sits in a chair, pets me and brushes me. I'm also good at knowing when my foster person needs someone to lean on. I've been known to come to her, give her a nose bump, and rest my head on her lap or shoulder which always cheers her up. I love to bounce around and play with my favorite squeaky toy, Gator. My foster person says I have the most beautiful play bows when I'm ready to start playing. I'm a napping professional. I use Gator as my lovey when I nap. My foster person has a lot of meetings so I take that time for my chew toys, snuffle mat, or naps. My foster says I'm a quiet dog during the work day but I snore a little. Before bed, my foster and I have a nice wind down where I ask for some pets, and give a Buddy version of a hug (I lean on her and put my head on her lap). Then I go to my crate for bed. I'm learning manners. I know I need to sit and wait for my treats and meals and I'm VERY good about it. I practice my commands: sit, wait, and come every day. I can get distracted on my walks but I'm learning to check in with my walker. I could use some training to help me and my adopter bond. I love to learn and am an eager student. This animal is in foster care! Apply to adopt them online!

Butterscotch  Animal ID: 272048  5 yrs, 11 mths 12 lbs

Hello!! We are Butterscotch, a 6 year old female Shih Tzu, and Light Bright, a 10 month old female Dachshund. We were brought into MCAS together and we would also like to leave together :) We both have a lot of energy, and the only thing we love more than each other is other people! We are jumpy pups, but that's just because we want to get in your lap for kisses and cuddles! I (Light Bright) will probably need some more training and patience than my sister Butterscotch, because of my age. We both love playtime, and if you keep up with us you will too. We are looking for a family who does not take life too seriously and will be positive, loving, and help us reach our full potential! If this sounds like you, we promise that we will have a life full of enjoyment together. Butterscotch and Light Bright are bonded and must be adopted together.

Animal ID: 289509,  male 6 mths 42 lbs and growing
Hi! Hi!! HIII!! I'm Pippin, your future silly sidekick! I'm just a young boy, so I am full of ENERGY and not necessarily manners - I'll need some training under my belt, especially because I'm already big and have more growing to do. Puppy training would also help me with knowing what I can jump on or "feel" with my mouth because right now anything that's in front of me is a toy, including hands. I don't mean to be impolite, I just need a patient human who can teach me! I'll be the goodest boy, I promise!! Give me treats and I'm sold! Please come meet me!
