UPDATE 3/20/23 ADOPTED
These 2 BIG Akita boys have great personalities once they have comfortable in a new situation (like the shelter was new to them, but they have come out of their shells now) They are very tall and beautiful dogs.
When they are alone they hang out together, sitting/sleeping together, it's sweet to see.
Maybe you know someone who would be a good home for them?
"NINJA and SAMURI"" are Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

Hi my name is Kiba (aka Ninja)! I am a shy boy to start out with but I
do warm up with treats. If you know my breed you know that I can be
stoic and assess the situation. I am very bonded to by friend Bruno
(aka Samurai). I am the more confident of the two and the shelter is
requiring that we are adopted together.
Please be sure to research the normal behaviors of Akita's before
applying. We may not be the dog for everyone, but we are the perfect
dog for those who know and love our silly yet protective nature.
We were very worried when we first came in as strays to the shelter. (see below) We warmed up alot and like our staff and volunteer friends now!

I am very bonded to by friend Kiba (aka Ninja)! I look for him for direction, and am much more confident with him around and the shelter is requiring that we are adopted together.
