I'm approximately 2 years old and am 66 lbs. of rambunctious, ready to go for a walk and start exploring the neighborhood with my new people. animal # 584247

Hi there! My name is Josie and I'm in search of a new home. I am a sensitive lady that is need of some good TLC. I have been quite scared here in the shelter, but once I feel comfortable, I am just the sweetest little lady. I know how to sit, shake, speak, and down! I also enjoy playing with toys! My new family will need to keep me on quality, monthly flea control for the rest of my life due to the flea allergies that I have. I'm not a fan of sharing my food, so kids in the home are recommended to be over the age of 8 years old. Please come down and meet me today! I am about 10 years old and weigh a thin 35 pounds.

"WEE MAN" snorty stocky sociable

"TRANSFERRED" to Oregon Humane Society!

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

Mcas weblink
animal # 589316

Hey everybody! My name is Wee Man and I'm exuberantly waiting to find a new family! I am very social and love people! Unfortunely my previous owner could no longer care for me and now I'm homeless. I have been around cats, chickens, rabbits, kids, and other dogs. Small kids are a little too much for me and my new home must have kids over the age of 10 years. I can be selective about my canine friends and much prefer to have a same size female. I do know how to sit and am working on my down. My new home must be able to use positive, reward based training with me as I haven't had the best of training experiences. If you think we could make a great match and enjoy having a snorty, snore in your home, please come and meet me. I am about 4 years old and weigh 73 pounds.

Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink  (4/16 adoption pending)
animal id # 589598

Hi there I'm Pearl! I'm a real gem of a lab mix lady searching for a new home. I'm quiet a talented young lady - I already know "sit" and can "shake" with either paw depending on if you are right or left handed! I love getting attention and scratches from my people. I have shown a tendency to vocalize and can be exit-seeking here at the shelter. But with some love, I bet that I would settle in nicely in your home. Think we could be a match? Come say hi! I'm 2 years old and weigh 51 lbs.

My name is Otter. I am cute and sweet, with a calm and loving disposition. I know sit but would love to learn some new tricks. I really enjoy meeting all kinds of people and would do well in social environments. If you are looking for a happy-go-lucky kind of sidekick, then come down to the shelter and say hello to me! I am 1.5 years old and weigh 26 pounds.

"SPUTNIK" young Weimaraner/Silver Lab mix

ADOPTED!
Apr 2017
Sputnik will be a Big dog when fully grown. Although he is not a dog for a first time dog owner, he is a sweetie and definitely deserves positive reinforcement training, and not a heavy handed approach!

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

Mcas weblink ( adoption pending 4/21)
animal # 587612

Sputnik here! I'm an out-of-this-world Weimaraner mix fella searching for a new home. I'm a handsome guy but I could use some extra training and help to make me the best dog that I can be. I am very physical with lots of jumping and hard mouthing when I get excited. I love to play fetch and already know how to sit and drop the ball. Sometimes I can be nippy, especially when there is a treat around and you need to be careful because I can take the treats hard! I get this way when I am over-aroused so my new home would need to work on my manners and impulse control as well as teaching me not to use my mouth in inappropriate ways. I have also shown some food guarding here so m new home should be prepared to manage that. Due to my current needs for training, I would need to be in a home with kids 12 years and older. Come say hi! I'm about 8 months old and weigh 57 lbs.

"MCKENZIE" cutie bull terrier

ADOPTED!
Apr 2017

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

Mcas weblink
animal # 588694

Well, since I'm a girl the shelter couldn't call me Spuds. So they named me Mckenzie! I'm a 6 year old Bull Terrier and I weigh about 40lbs. Since I am a stray not much is known about me but Bull Terriers are not a breed recommended for first time dog owners. The breed standard says that my breed is playful, comical, and exuberant. This affectionate, sweet-natured, and devoted breed can be mischievous or even aggressive to small animals and other dogs. I also require mental and physical exercise daily in a safely enclosed area. I am not an apartment or dog park candidate. Do your research and if you like what you see about my breed come meet me and hopefully you'll fall in love with one of the clowns of the dog world.

"CHEESEBURGER"

ADOPTED!
Apr 2017

Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

 here's my Mcas weblink
animal id # 583775

Hi there! My name is Cheeseburger and I'm a goofy pitbull mix in search of a new home. If you are looking to bring lots of love and laughter into your home come say hi to me. I love love love being around people and getting attention. In fact, I will sit right on your lap if I can find a way! I like to play but sometimes I can get a little mouthy - but my new home can work with me to teach me to play more politely. I know how to "sit" and enjoy treats so we can try to learn some new tricks together in the future! I have separation anxiety issues and before I go home, my new family would need to consult with a vet and/or our canine specialist. Because I'm a burly guy who can be mouthy and likes to play using my considerable strength, I would do best in a home with children 6 years old and up. I'm about 5 years old and weigh 68 lbs.

Collette does not appear to have had very much handling and would love someone to take her home that would be patient and teach her that people are awesome. She loves to have her head rubbed but is fearful of being picked up. Because of this she would do best in a quiet home with children over 10. Could you be Collette's forever home? "CHARLOTTE" energetic young Black Lab mx

ADOPTED!
Apr 2017

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

Mcas weblink
animal # 589861

My name is Charlotte. I am 2 years old and weigh 64 pounds. I have got bounds and bounds of energy, and will need a home that can match my level in order for me to get my proper mental and physical needs! I know sit, down, and shake, but could use some more work on my manners as I tend to get jumpy and mouthy when excited. My new home should have sturdy kids 6 years old and above. I really love squeaky toys and can entertain myself with them, but would also love a nice long hike as well! I currently have some minor skin issues that are being addressed and will be good as new in no time! Come on down to the shelter and take me for a spin-I will be happy to see you

"BEANS" fawn chihuahua

"Transferred" to a placement partner
Apr 2017

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

Mcas weblink
animal # 589996

My name is Beans. I am 2 years old and weigh 14 pounds. I am a very shy guy and seem a bit overwhelmed here at the shelter. My new home needs to be a quiet and low-traffic area to help me get acclimated to my new living space. I would prefer kids older than 6 years old, but may do well with calm older kids and maybe another same-sized canine companion. My hope is that my new home will help me get out of my shell and be the happy, loving dog I know I can be. If I sound like a match, please come down to the shelter and say hello.

"ELIZA" tiny curious blind Chihuahua

ADOPTED!
Apr 2017

Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!
Eliza is in a MCAS Foster home!

 here's my Mcas weblink
animal id # 586111

Eliza here! I'm a sweet little Chihuahua lady searching for a new home. You may have noticed that I have limited vision but I'm still curious and love to explore. The specialists think that it was just genetics that caused the cateracts. I may loose full sight soon or may at some point need surgery to have them removed but for now, I am happy and comfortable. My foster mom says that I get around well and as soon as I get used to your place, I should not have any troubles. I like being around my favorite people and my ideal home would be nice and calm so that I can settle in and relax in peace! I am still getting the hang of housetraining but I should be there soon. I get along with the other dogs in the home. Think we could be best friends? I'm about 8 years old and weigh 4.5 lbs. I am currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting me, please email the foster coordinator at jennifer.sparkman@multco.us to set up a time

Do you have a ball that you can throw for me? How about a yard & an iFetch that you could teach me to use myself??? Because I LOVE to play fetch! Hi, I'm Linus - a marvelous sort of pooch who will enjoy never-ending games or long walks with you!! I've been here at the shelter since 01/12/17 and have retained my nice leash skills. I will also enjoy all the attention you can lavish upon me and I have even learned a few new skills while I've been here like sit, shake & down. Linus does need to be the only dog in an adult only, active home. He is very food motivated so any new training should be a breeze. He is about 3yrs old and weighs about 74lbs. Come down and throw the ball for Linus, the super-fetcher, today!!

"Linus is trying to keep his chin up, holding out for a loving human to adopt him.
He's a sweet, active boy with good looks to boot!"
